‘Lost Replicant’ is a UI/UX prototype designed to explore how an established visual style and aesthetic can be incorporated into a games user interface whilst remaining tactile and intuitive.
To explore this I chose a pre existing IP, in this case Bladerunner, and created a main menu demo for a hypothetical game set within its universe called ‘Bladerunner: Lost Replicant’.
I looked at other pre existing media to inform my design. Making sure to incorporate visual themesthat aligned with the blade runner IP, including ideas of retro-futurism and cyberpunk influences, all layered on top a stark noir atmosphere.
The demo itself contains most elements expected within a main menu interface including:
Diegetic 3D scene including dynamic 3D camera
Opening splash screen
Extensive options menu, complete with sub category’s
Save file loading menu
New game selection menu, including multiple difficulty options
Animation and scene changes during menu transitions
